Social network project gets first public viewing after only 3 weeks

Smarticles, the creative digital agency, builds westartup social network. Westartup is first presented today at the bizcamp Belgium event.

Westartup is a social network that applies co-creation and crowd-sourcing principles to creating new businesses. The site allows young entrepreneurs to share their ideas with each other, give feedback, hammer out business models and fine-tune business plans. The site also pools together relevant content: practical, hands-on information for starting companies, recorded wisdom and experience from successful entrepreneurs.

The site was developed by Smarticles (www.smarticles.eu), an up and coming creative digital agency and software foundry. The site had to be presented to the bizcamp audience within a three weeks of development starting. Alex Droscaru CEO of Smarticles said "Delivering the project on-time and budget was a proud moment for Smarticles" he continued "Creating a new social network, with specialist features, wasn't the easiest prospect".

The Smarticles agency was founded this year, and is in a position for massive growth. Smarticles have set about developing a end-to-end digital agency. Smarticles offer the complete solution from project management, expert analysis, development, eCommerce, social networking, web design, search engine optimisation and online marketing. Founded by four directors, who each bring unique approaches, skills, linguistic and cultural perspectives. The Smarticles team may be newly formed; but the creative engine has been forged in some of the most demanding environments. For Smarticles the most important thing is communication. Smarticles and westartup are both environmentally-aware. The new website is hosted on servers which are powered by wind-power, and the whole website is carbon-neutral.
